Undergraduate--University of Connecticut, B.S. Marketing
Undergraduate Part 2: Montclair State University, B.A. Elementary Education; Preschool-Grade 3 and Kindergarten-Grade 5 certified.
Graduate: Montclair State University, MAT (Masters of Arts of Teaching, Early Childhood Education)

Ms. Merritt was fortunate to grow up in a house full of educators. Ms. Merritt's dad, was an elementary school principal and her mom, was an amazing Kindergarten teacher! After graduating from UConn Ms. Merritt realized that her parents were right! The business world was not the setting for her and she decided to go back to school to become a teacher. This is Ms. Merritt's 11th year teaching at the Ocean City Primary School! After 6 awesome years in Kindergarten, Ms. Merritt has quickly realized the amazing learning that takes place in first grade. It is with great pride that she has the opportunity to teach in this great district!
